[Which number on my diamondback is the serial number](^4^)

The serial number is located on the underside of the frame where the pedals and crank arms attach. You most likely will need to flip your bike over. Look for a string of letters and numbers. The serial number is usually formatted like U161K0123456 or DAY16A123456.

I have an incomplete diamondback outlook I'm trying to put back together. I don't know the year it was made for looking up specs so I'm trying to look at serial number. However there's a number on the underneath of the BB and on the tube next to it. Which one is it? How do I decode it. The one on BB is YF99G06415. Does that mean it's from 1999?

How To Read Diamondback Serial Numbers

On Diamondback bikes, the serial number is located on the underside of the frame where the pedals and crank arms attach (in other words, the underside of the bottom bracket shell). Look for a string of letters and numbers. The serial number is usually formatted like U161K0123456 or DAY16A123456.

A serial number located on a rear dropout. Some BMX bikes and a few Schwinn bicycles place the serial on the rear dropout. On older Schwinns there are numbers stamped on both the drive side and non-drive side rear dropouts; the one on the non-drive side dropout is the serial number.

Hi, i have a diamondback with serial number 20002 with a baseball symbol after it. It has a suntour seat pole clamp and headstem nut. Db stamped bars and something japan (i think says heiken) crank. The head stem looks original with diamondback stamped into it. I would like to know what model/year it is so i can find out what original parts should be on it for a resto. I bought this bike in primary school bout 30 years ago. Any help would be appreciated.
