In the season where films have started doing well at the box office, Brothers have managed to find an audience for itself over the weekend. If the start was good, if not phenomenal, there was some good escalation waiting to take place for the rest of the weekend. Saturday was always going to be the key for the film, and the Karan Malhotra film managed to cross the 21 crore mark. Sunday did not see as many footfalls as Saturday but still did better than Friday, as a result of which 52.08 crores came in once the weekend was through.Brothers made quite a low business on its 3rd day, i.e., 1st Sunday at the box office. The movie collected 15.45 crores on Sunday, which is almost equal to its Friday business (15.20 crores). Nevertheless, thanks to its super jump on Day 2, the film's overall opening weekend collections have come to a good amount of 52.08 crores.[39] The film now stands as the 2nd Highest Weekend Grosser of the year. Bajrangi Bhaijaan, with 102.60 crores, holds the record of Top weekend grosser of 2015.[40] The film went on to collect just 64.80 crores net in its first week in India which is a poor result because it has a big holiday.Brothers crashed 88% in its second weekend as it grossed just 5.25 crore net approx in its second weekend. 2015 Hindi Films Wiki

In 2013, it was announced that Singh would be making NH10 with Freida Pinto and Rajkummar Rao.[9] The script was first offered to Sharma, but she declined because she was busy with other films at that time. It was then offered to several other actors. While she was filming for Bombay Velvet (2015), its director Anurag Kashyap told Sharma that Singh was trying to make NH10. She read the script again and agreed to join the project, which was at that time without a producer. Sharma then decided to co-produce it.[10] NH10 was Sharma's first film as a producer; it was made under her label Clean Slate Filmz. She agreed to film because the story felt real to her and its story could happen to anyone; she said, "when bad people attack you, they don't see [your sex]. I liked that about the story."[11] Sharma called the personal struggle "very relatable", as she felt this could happen to anyone.[11] Neil Bhoopalam said he agreed to appear in the film because he liked Singh's earlier film Manorama Six Feet Under.[12] To prepare for the role, Sharma underwent interval training for around three months to physically suit the character.[13] With Bhoopalam, she also took acting workshops conducted by Singh and Atul Mongia for the characters.[11]

Kapoor had no releases in the year 2014. After January 2015, Kapoor had Bombay Velvet and Jagga Jasoos lined up for release. In order to avoid back to back releases with less time gap between his films, he decided to postpone Tamasha to 2016.[47] Further, the producers of the film couldn't opt for a late December 2015 release due to multi-starrer films Bajirao Mastani and Dilwale, with the former starring Padukone in the lead role.[47] However, in May 2015, it was announced that Tamasha will release on 27 November 2015 and Kapoor's other film Jagga Jaasoos pushed to mid-2017.[48]

Dil Dhadakne Do was one of the most highly anticipated films of 2015, owing to its ensemble star cast and the success of Akhtar's previous films Luck By Chance and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.[57][58] The first-look teaser poster, photographed from behind the 6 pivotal characters and their family dog sunbathing on a cruise deck was released on 21 July 2014, almost a year before the scheduled release.[59] The poster did not reveal the actors' looks, instead making the audience puzzle about the actors from behind.[60] A few days later, the first full poster revealing the position of the actors photographed from the front was revealed.[60][61] In April 2015, seven character posters, including one for the family dog Pluto, were released. The poster releases generated much hype for the film.[62] The trailer release was highly anticipated in the media because the plot was kept secret.[63]

Waiting had its world premiere on 11 December 2015 at the 12th edition of the Dubai International Film Festival.[28] There the film's executive producer Priti Gupta, founder of Ishka Films, emphasised the universality of the film and said, "It is an endearing and beautiful movie for not just Indian[s], but the world audience, as it is essentially about the universal human circumstances, which are deftly portrayed in a tender yet humorous way."[29]Manish Mundra, founder of Drishyam Films, expressed his delight at the screening of the film, acknowledging that Dubai was one of the biggest overseas markets for Indian films. The film was also screened at the closing gala of the London Asian Film Festival, and at the Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles.[30][31]

In 2014, 20th Century Fox (now 20th Century Studios) introduced Premium Large Format Screen for the studio's films (not include films produced by DreamWorks Animation) that released on any large format screen like IMAX, Dolby Cinema and other theater chains' customize large screen. However, there is no logo for the format promotion until late 2015. 2ff7e9595c
