The Black Knight UFO: A Real or Imaginary Threat to Humanity?

There, for all to see, were images released by NASA that showed a black object hovering above our planet in low Earth orbit. And it wasn't long after the images were thrust in front of a hopeful public before people were performing some conspiratorial sums and sharing them with the wider world.

We rate as FALSE the claim that there is an unidentified satellite of extraterrestrial origin near Earth, based on our research. The black object seen in the image is a piece of space debris cataloged by NASA during a 1998 space shuttle mission.

So the Black Knight lived on through the 70s and 80s as little more than a highly speculative urban myth with next to no hard evidence to support its existence. This all changed in 1998, when those on the Space Shuttle Endeavor flight STS-88 photographed an amorphous black object hovering ominously above the Earth.

When asked later which pin he lost the cover to, he said he could not remember and that he was too upset with himself to think about it. NASA maintains that the photographs most people point to as evidence of the black knight are images of this thermal cover. There is also a video of the astronauts inside the space station filming and photographing the cover as it floats off.

The Black Knight Satellite theory developed in 1963 when NASA astronaut Gordon Cooper was reported as saying he had seen the satellite while in space, but there was a media blackout upon his return and the US space agency allegedly put it down to cosmic hallucinations.

Amusingly, Spelunky's Black Knight will often kill Green Knights (and any other enemies in his way) as he charges at the Spelunker. This coincides with how the Black Knight in Monty Python kills a knight wearing green armor as he is introduced in the film.

Seven months later, it first appeared on radar image. On 1963, it was seen by an astronaut going into space. On December 1998, the crew of Space Shuttle Orbiter Endeavour photographed an unusual object in low Earth orbit. These images are often labeled as the most definite proof of this satellite. However, it has been dismissed this strange structure seems more like a piece of space debris. In actual fact this black object is probably a thermal blanket. But according to the respected space historian James Oberg in his superb history of the incident STS-88 and the Black Knight, the lost blanket burned up when it fell out of orbit about a week after it was lost.

In 1998, compelling visual evidence for the existence of the mysterious satellite finally emerged. The crew of the space shuttle, Endeavour managed to take dozens of clear high-resolution photographs of a strange black object near their craft.

A UFO expert claimed that a Space Shuttle mission launched by NASA captured an image of a black knight satellite hovering over Earth. The expert said the strange vessel may have been deployed from a mysterious world commonly referred to as Planet X.

Waring pointed out that the alleged black knight satellite can be seen just outside Earth in the photo. He believes the object really was an alien spacecraft because of its ability to move really fast.

According to Waring, the alien race living on Planet X may have deployed the black knight satellite in an effort to monitor the activities of humans on Earth. He said that if provoked, the alien vessel is capable of attacking.

The workings of any machine-learning technology are inherently more opaque, even to computer scientists, than a hand-coded system. This is not to say that all future AI techniques will be equally unknowable. But by its nature, deep learning is a particularly dark black box. 2ff7e9595c
